Job Title
Commi Chef
Job Criteria
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commi Chef or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or catering company.
- Hands-on experience in Continental cuisine, including soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta, grilled dishes, sauces, and breakfast items.
- Experience in large-scale catering operations, banquet events, or bulk food preparation.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
- Familiar with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP or equivalent).
- Ability to prepare mise en place efficiently and work under pressure during peak service.
- Capable of following recipes, portion control, and quality standards.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and lift kitchen supplies when required.
- Culinary diploma or certificate is an advantage.
- Willing to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Continental dishes according to standard recipes and quality standards.
- Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and catering functions.
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, salads, sandwiches, pasta, grilled items, and other menu offerings.
- Support catering events by ensuring timely preparation and service of food.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned workstation.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Minimize food wastage through proper storage and portion control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs.
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries using FIFO procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and efficient service.
Pay: Up to QAR1.00 per month
