About the Role:
Halo Interiors LLC is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Civil & MEP Draftsman with proven experience in the UAE interior fit-out industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate civil, architectural, and coordinated MEP shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction documentation for commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed Civil, Architectural, and MEP shop drawings based on IFC drawings, project specifications, and consultant requirements.
- Coordinate Civil, Architectural, Joinery, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, and ELV drawings to ensure clash-free execution.
- Develop builders’ work drawings, ceiling coordination drawings, service layouts, and construction details for site implementation.
- Revise and update drawings based on consultant comments, RFIs, design changes, and site instructions.
- Prepare accurate as-built drawings reflecting final installed conditions for project handover.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Interior Designers, and MEP Engineers to ensure drawing accuracy and timely submission.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and document control to ensure only approved latest drawings are issued for construction.
- Support quantity take-offs and assist procurement and estimation teams with technical drawing information.
- Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, identify coordination issues, and ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, company drafting standards, authority requirements, and consultant requirements.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in Interior Fit-Out drafting.
- Strong knowledge of Civil, Architectural, and MEP drafting standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Experience with Revit and BIM coordination is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with UAE authority submission requirements.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and fit-out detailing.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in commercial offices, retail outlets, restaurants, hospitality, and luxury interior projects.
- Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV coordination.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination abilities.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
