We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the supervision and execution of high-rise building and villa construction projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring site activities, ensuring construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and UAE regulations. The Civil Engineer will coordinate with contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and the site supervision team to ensure timely and quality completion of assigned works.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities at site.
- Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor the progress of civil and structural works and report any delays or technical issues.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Monitor excavation, earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, screeding, tiling, and other civil works.
- Coordinate reinforcement, formwork, concrete pouring, and structural works with the contractor.
- Check materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved submittals and project specifications.
- Review inspection requests and coordinate with the Civil Inspector and Resident Engineer for inspections and approvals.
- Monitor site activities for compliance with approved method statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Assist in identifying construction defects, technical problems, and non-conforming works.
- Follow up on corrective actions and ensure proper rectification of site issues.
- Coordinate with MEP and architectural teams to resolve construction interfaces and avoid clashes.
- Assist in reviewing material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Monitor project progress against the approved construction schedule.
- Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports and maintain proper project documentation.
- Conduct site meetings, inspections, testing, snagging, and handover activities.
- Ensure construction activities comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Assist the Resident Engineer in managing site supervision activities and achieving project objectives.
- Monitor snagging works and ensure timely completion and rectification of outstanding items.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, approvals, and technical issues.
- Knowledge of FIDIC and contract management be an additional advantage.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of overall experience in civil construction and site supervision.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in construction supervision as consultant.
- Proven experience in high-rise building projects, residential buildings, and groups of villas.
- Strong technical knowledge of building construction, structural works, and civil engineering practices.
- Experience in supervising reinforced concrete, foundations, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, finishing, and external works.
- Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and quality requirements.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other site teams.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and construction inspection requirements.
- Good understanding of UAE construction regulations, codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to monitor project progress and identify construction delays or technical issues.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Knowledge of project management and construction software is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
- UAE/GCC construction experience is preferred.
- UAE Driving License is an advantage.

Pay: Up to AED15,000.00 per month
