A Student Affairs & Scholarship Manager occupies a unique and vital role in TVET and non-profit organizations. This position acts as a bridge between holistic student development (student life, well-being, and campus culture) and critical financial support (scholarship funding, compliance).
Core Responsibilities
1. Scholarship Administration & Compliance
- End-to-End Fund Lifecycle: Oversee the annual cycle of institutional, private, and endowed scholarships—including application creation, eligibility verification, committee reviews, and financial disbursement.
- Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure all financial aid and scholarship processes strictly adhere to institutional guidelines.
- Tech Management: Administer web-based scholarship management software to track applicant pools, awards, and data trends.
2. Student Affairs & Holistic Support
- Student Experience & Well-being: Collaborate on initiatives related to student life, including career advising, student clubs, diversity/inclusion programming, and student counseling services.
- Crisis Intervention & Problem Solving: Serve as secondary escalations point for students navigating intense financial crises, academic probationary status, or complex registration hurdles.
- Outreach & Advocacy: Design and facilitate information sessions, workshops, and orientation programs to educate diverse student populations on financing options and success resources.
3. Financial Oversight
- Budget Planning: Work alongside institutional finance departments to project annual scholarship payouts, historical retention, and projected enrollment data.
- Donor & Foundation Relations: Act as the operational liaison to the university foundation or external donor boards. Draft annual account summaries and gather student impact stories.
