Job Title: Interior Designer with Carpentry Expertise

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Interior Designer with Carpentry Expertise for one our construction client in Al Ain, UAE. This unique role requires a blend of strong design skills with in-depth carpentry knowledge, ensuring that design concepts are not only visually appealing but also structurally sound and practical. The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients to create functional, aesthetically pleasing, and custom-designed interiors, with an emphasis on bespoke carpentry solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Interior Design:
Work closely with clients to understand their vision, needs, and preferences.
Develop design concepts, mood boards, layouts, and color schemes.
Create 2D/3D renderings, sketches, and visual presentations for client approval.
Choose and source materials, finishes, furnishings, and décor elements.
Oversee the selection and placement of lighting, furniture, and other design elements.
Custom Carpentry & Furniture Design:
Design and craft custom furniture pieces (e.g., cabinets, shelving units, furniture, and built-ins) that align with the overall interior design vision.
Develop detailed carpentry plans, including measurements, specifications, and material choices.
Collaborate with carpenters and craftsmen to ensure the design is executed accurately.
Provide carpentry solutions for structural elements of the interior design, such as framing, molding, and trim work.
Project Management:
Coordinate with contractors, carpenters, suppliers, and other professionals involved in the design and construction process.
Supervise the construction, installation, and finishing of custom carpentry elements.
Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the design and construction phases.
Client Collaboration:
Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the design and construction process.
Make design adjustments based on client feedback and preferences.
Provide expert advice on furniture layout, space optimization, and carpentry solutions.
Deliver presentations and updates to clients, ensuring they are satisfied with progress and design choices.
Quality Control:
Inspect the quality of carpentry work to ensure it meets design specifications and standards.
Ensure safety and functionality in all carpentry projects.
Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail.
Sustainability:
Incorporate eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices into designs where possible.
Recommend energy-efficient solutions and sustainable design strategies to clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.
Certification in carpentry or woodworking is highly desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of [X] years of experience in interior design, with at least [X] years focused on carpentry.
Proven experience in designing custom furniture and carpentry elements for residential and/or commercial spaces.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
