Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the company’s financial operations, strategic planning, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial management, budgeting, project accounting, cash flow management, and UAE regulatory compliance. Experience in the interior fit-out, construction, or contracting sector is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all finance, accounting, and treasury functions of the company.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Monitor company cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
- Oversee project costing, profitability analysis, and financial performance of ongoing projects.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting operations.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax requirements, and other statutory obligations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement financial controls.
- Establish and maintain effective financial policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and credit facilities.
- Support contract reviews, project budgeting, and tender financial evaluations.
- Present financial reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.
- 5–6 years of UAE experience in Finance and Accounts, preferably within an Interior Fit-Out, Construction, Contracting, or Engineering company.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting.
- In-depth understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial regulations.
- Experience in ERP and accounting systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in project-based financial management.
- Knowledge of cost control, contract accounting, and profitability analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and banking relationship management skills.
- Strategic planning and business partnering capabilities.
