Laconic Ayurveda is seeking a detail-oriented and ethically grounded Charitable Trust Accountant to join our finance team in Al Wakrah. This role is responsible for managing and reporting financial activities related to charitable trusts, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and ethical guidelines. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting expertise with a commitment to integrity and social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting records for charitable trust funds and donations
- Ensure accurate recording, classification, and reporting of all trust-related transactions
- Prepare financial statements and reports for trustees and stakeholders
- Monitor fund utilization to ensure alignment with donor intentions and trust objectives
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for charitable activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and reports
- Maintain transparency and proper governance in all financial processes
- Collaborate with management to improve financial control systems for trust funds
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably in non-profit, NGO, or trust environments
- Strong understanding of fund accounting and financial reporting principles
- Knowledge of IFRS or similar accounting standards
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to transparency
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with charitable organizations, foundations, or trusts
- Familiarity with donor reporting and grant management processes
- Understanding of compliance and governance frameworks in non-profit finance
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
