ï‚·Installation & Configuration: Install and configure CCTV cameras, recording devices (DVR/NVR), and software, ensuring proper placement and field of view.
ï‚·Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular inspections, cleaning, and maintenance (AMC) to prevent system downtime.
ï‚·Wiring & Networking: Manage cabling infrastructure (fiber/Ethernet) and configure IP addresses for network cameras.
ï‚·Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and repair services for faulty equipment to ensure continuous surveillance.
ï‚··Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and system configurations.
ï‚·Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IP networking, fiber optics, and low-voltage electrical systems.
ï‚·Telecommunications Rooms (TR/IDF): Distribution hubs on each floor or zone connecting horizontal cabling to the backbone.
ï‚·Backbone Cabling: Links entrance facilities, equipment rooms, and telecommunications rooms (usually fiber).
ï‚·Horizontal Cabling: Cable runs from the telecommunications rooms to individual outlets, usually Cat6 or Cat6A.
