1 Mission
To lead the electrical engineering team by taking full responsibility for the assigned project(s) ensuring that all works are carried out to relevant international codes and standards and the applicable regional codes and standards as required by the projects, deliver on time and to full satisfaction of the clients in compliance with contract obligations, along with management activities related to the building practice including resource planning, career development of team members , BIM production tools optimization and design innovation.
2 Line and Staff Relations
The Senior Electrical Engineer reports to and works closely with the Head of the Building Practice of the Business Unit, who is in charge of all production aspects of the Building Practice.
ARTELIA AIRPORTS staff:
o Team of MEP Engineers as well as Architects and Engineers of other practices.
o BIM Manager and BIM Technicians in the design office.
External :
o Coordinate with the Clients and other Consultant engineers, including 3rd Party reviewers, Sub-consultants, … at any stage of the project.
3 Key Responsiblities
Leads Electrical engineering team and facilitates project delivery in line with ARTELIA AIRPORTS standards..
Organizes and plans the studies and drawings production in respect of the delays at any stage of the studies.
Check the compliance with various codes and standards (security, safety, airport regulation, construction…) as per Country regulations and/or Client’s specific requirement when applicable.
Ensures that the proper controls, i.e. QA/QC and content compliance vs contract obligations and Engineering Industry best practice, are properly conducted prior submission
Develop BIM Automation tools and BIM quality management systems to optimize study and production process, i.e. templates and families creation.
Identifies training needs for the Electrical team
Identifies IT Software needs for the Electrical team.
Support company hiring and assist in the appraisal of the staff performance
Coordinates with other disciplines to achieve projects goals and Building Practice production improvement goals.
Works with and report to the Head of Building Practice to ensure vision and mission of the MEP Department within the Building Practice is achieved.
Assist with the preparation and production of commercial offers
4 Profile Specifications – Minimum Requirements
Minimum experience of 12-15 years in Electrical Engineering Discipline
Minimum 3 years of Senior Role
Minimum Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory. In addition, Master Degree would be appreciated.
UAE Society of Engineers membership will be required
Dubai Municipality certified would be a must
Abu Dhabi Engineering License
International Accreditation (RIBA, AIA or equivalent) and Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP or equivalent) is preferred
Experience of working on airports projects, design and supervision, or at least three major large scale projects references.
Excellent knowledge of Design Project Management
Well verse in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and other Software related to BIM is mandatory.
Well verse in MS office Application (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) is mandatory
Developed knowledge of Amtech, Dialux, Relux (revit) softwares
Good knowledge of International codes and standards
Knowledge of the regional codes and standards, regulations and requirements.
Excellent communication skills in English, speaking and writing.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload
Ability to handle and protect confidential information
Ability to author clear and precise technical documents
Capability to lead a team, plan and organize tasks, and to work within a team framework.

Good communication and Customer facing skills.
