Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer with at least 1 year of experience in the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring products while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. This role requires excellentcommunication skills, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of FMCG procurement dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement:
Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.
Procure goods in line with company requirements and stock demands.
Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Conduct regular evaluations to ensure performance and adherence to contracts.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
Collaborate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels.
CostOptimization:
Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve the best value for the company.
Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Market Analysis:
Stay updated on market trends and competitor strategies in the FMCG sector.
Analyze consumer demand patterns to forecast purchasing needs.
Compliance:
Ensure all purchasing activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate andup-to-dateprocurement records.
Key Skills and
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Buyer or Procurement role within the FMCG sector.
Strong negotiation andcommunication skills.
Excellent analytical andproblem-solvingabilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Ability to work in afast-paced environmentand manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge ofinventory managementand supply chain processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with FMCG product categories and supplier networks.
Understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior.
Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS).
