Role Overview
As the Business Development Specialist, you are an essential member of our Business Development team, tasked with identifying and engaging in new business opportunities, nurturing relationships, and driving revenue growth. Your tasks will typically involve a blend of strategic thinking, sales acumen, marketing knowledge, and strong networking skills.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire New Clients:
Proactively identify, propose solutions to, and secure new client partnerships.
Provide Excellent Client Support:
Ensure all client inquiries receive timely and professional responses.
Maintain Opportunity Visibility:
Consistently update and report on the progress of all sales opportunities using designated tools.
Manage Sales Pipeline:
Develop, maintain, and update a robust and accurate sales pipeline throughout the sales cycle.
Build Trusted Client Relationships:
Establish yourself as a trusted advisor with key client contacts, stakeholders, and executives.
Communicate Progress Clearly:
Effectively convey the status of monthly and quarterly initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders.
Forecast and Track Performance:
Monitor and report on key client account metrics.
Contribute to Organizational Growth:
Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the department’s and organization’s reputation by taking on new challenges and adding value.
Ensure Client Satisfaction:
Prioritize the satisfaction of current clients by delivering exceptional service.
Analyze the Market:
Conduct research to understand market trends, competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities.
Network in the Industry:
Attend relevant events and build relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in Business Development, preferably in Accounts management or Sales.
Proven track record of B2B sales experience, SaaS services, fintech sector, and startup companies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
Driven and determined team player with the ability to respond quickly and adapt without losing momentum.
Strong business judgement and attention to detail, along with the ability to multitask.
