Position Overview
The Bank Reconciliation Officer will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records by reconciling bank statements with internal accounting data. This role is critical in maintaining financial integrity, identifying discrepancies, and supporting smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
- Match bank statements with internal accounting records accurately
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain proper documentation for all reconciliation activities
- Monitor cash movements and ensure accurate recording of transactions
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with finance teams to improve reconciliation efficiency
- Assist in audit preparation by providing required reconciliation reports
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in bank reconciliation or general accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
