Job Summary
The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the workshop. The role involves understanding customer concerns, preparing repair orders, coordinating with technicians, providing service recommendations, monitoring job progress, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and professionally receive vehicles for service and repair.
- Understand and accurately document customer complaints and service requirements.
- Conduct preliminary vehicle inspections and prepare job cards/work orders.
- Explain service recommendations, repair requirements, and estimated costs to customers.
- Obtain customer approval before commencing additional repairs or services.
- Coordinate with workshop supervisors and technicians regarding repair progress.
- Monitor vehicle status and ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance work.
- Keep customers informed about service progress, delays, and completion timelines.
- Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and invoices as required.
- Ensure all repair orders, service records, and customer documentation are accurate and complete.
- Promote value-added services, maintenance packages, and service campaigns.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle handover upon completion of service and explain work performed.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and customer retention.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Coordinate warranty-related repairs and documentation when applicable.
- Support service department targets for productivity, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and automotive systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prepare estimates, quotations, and service documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and automotive service management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
