Automotive Quality Control Engineer Jobs in Fujairah at Fujairah National Group
The Automotive Quality Control Engineer ensures that all vehicles serviced or repaired in the workshop meet company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and customer expectations. The role involves inspection, monitoring, and continuous improvement of workshop processes to achieve the highest level of service quality and customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Vehicle Quality Inspection
- Conduct pre-delivery and post-repair inspections of light vehicles to ensure all jobs are completed to required standards.
- Verify repair quality for mechanical, electrical, and bodywork tasks.
- Check roadworthiness, safety, and performance of vehicles before delivering to customers.
- Process Monitoring & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), manufacturer guidelines, and safety standards.
- Monitor workshop processes to identify deviations and recommend corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements related to vehicle repairs and safety.
- Quality Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain records of quality checks.
- Report recurring issues and work with the service/technical team to implement preventive measures.
- Support warranty claims through proper documentation of inspection findings.
- Customer Satisfaction & Continuous Improvement
- Support the service team in resolving customer complaints related to repair quality.
- Provide feedback to technicians and service advisors on quality gaps.
- Initiate training and improvement programs to enhance workmanship standards.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, Workshop Manager, and Parts Department to maintain smooth workflow.
- Conduct spot checks during the repair process to minimize rework.
- Support management in achieving KPIs related to first-time-fix ratio, rework percentage, and turnaround time.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of light vehicle mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic systems.
- Familiar with automotive repair quality standards and workshop procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication skills (English mandatory; Arabic an advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Office and workshop management systems (preferably SAP, DMS, or equivalent).
- Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in quality control or a supervisory role in an automobile workshop (light vehicles).
- UAE/GCC experience preferred.
- Valid UAE driving license (Light Vehicle).
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Reduction in rework percentage.
- Improvement in First-Time-Fix (FTF) rate.
- Compliance with OEM & company quality standards.
- Customer satisfaction scores (CSI).
- Workshop audit and compliance scores.
Pay: AED4,000.00 – AED5,000.00 per month
