About the Role
We are looking for an experienced n8n Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade automation workflows using n8n. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building scalable workflow automations, integrating business systems, and enabling AI-powered business processes.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and developers to automate manual processes, integrate multiple platforms, and deliver reliable production automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade n8n workflows for business automation.
- Build scalable workflow solutions integrating internal and external applications through REST APIs, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, databases, and messaging platforms.
- Develop end-to-end workflow logic for process automation, notifications, approvals, data synchronization, and system orchestration.
- Implement AI-powered workflows using services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar LLM platforms.
- Build intelligent automation incorporating prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) where required.
- Troubleshoot workflow failures, connector issues, API errors, schema mismatches, and performance bottlenecks in production environments.
- Work closely with business and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and translate manual processes into scalable workflow solutions.
- Develop custom automation logic using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript where standard n8n nodes are insufficient.
- Integrate automation workflows with relational and cloud databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Supabase, Cosmos DB, or similar platforms.
- Create and maintain technical documentation covering workflow architecture, integrations, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Continuously improve workflow performance, reliability, maintainability, and business impact through ongoing optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven hands-on experience building and maintaining production n8n workflows.
- Strong expertise in workflow automation, orchestration, and business process automation using n8n.
- Solid understanding of:
- REST APIs
- Webhooks
- OAuth and API authentication
- Event-driven architecture
- JSON data structures
- Experience integrating AI platforms including:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
- Gemini
- or equivalent LLM providers
- Strong programming experience with:
- Python
- JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience working with databases such as:
- PostgreSQL
- SQL Server
- Supabase
- Cosmos DB
- or similar
- Ability to troubleshoot production workflow issues, connector failures, API integrations, and data transformation problems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience:
- building and maintaining production n8n workflows: 2 years (Preferred)

- managing n8n environments on Docker, Kubernetes, VPS : 2 years (Preferred)
