- Ensures that a job card is issued with details of the repair work to be carried out.
- Put forward suggestions to the Workshop Supervisor in relation to WORK QUALITY, WORK PERFORMANCE, SPECIAL TOOLS, and DENTING EQUIPMENT.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
- Ensures that protective covers are used in all vehicles before carrying out any repairs.
- Carries out all repair works following the manufacturers repair procedures with appropriate tools and equipment.
- Ensures accurate time recording (clock on and off) for all repairs.
- Ensures that all job operations are completed within guidelines.
- Estimate and inform Supervisor of any additional repairs required.
- Estimate and inform Supervisor any delays in repair when the completion time cannot be met.
- Estimate and inform Supervisor of any specific difficulties due to unavailability of spare parts or tools.
- Ensures that all repairs are completed are clearly written on the job card.
- Ensures that all repairs carried out are properly authorized including warranty work.
- Maintains the highest quality standards in all repair work carried out.
- Follow supervisors’ instructions as to which parts to restore or replace and how much time the job should take
- Maintains the safety & cleanliness of the workshop and specific work bay at all times.
- Keep up to date with technical information and informs his superiors of any personal training requirements.
- Motivates and take initiatives to support his teammates at all times.
- Place all replaced body parts in proper location and disposing all waste materials appropriately
- To follow the H&S policy and guidelines and report any health and safety gap/ non-compliance/ hazardous risks within the workplace.
