Assistant Technician – Materials Testing Jobs in Doha at Advanced Construction Technology Services
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Assistant Technician – Materials Testing (no experience needed) to support our laboratory and field testing operations involving soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and other construction materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist technicians in conducting laboratory and field tests on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, cement, and related construction materials.
- Collect, prepare, label, and transport material samples from project sites to the laboratory.
- Assist in sample preparation, curing, sieving, mixing, compaction, and other testing activities.
- Set up, clean, and maintain laboratory and field testing equipment.
- Support equipment calibration, verification, and routine maintenance.
- Record test observations accurately and assist in maintaining laboratory documentation.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness and proper storage of materials and equipment.
- Follow company quality procedures, laboratory standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience in a construction materials testing laboratory or related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of testing procedures for soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, or equivalent testing standards is a plus.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting and transporting test samples.
- Willing to work in both laboratory and field environments.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Pay: QAR1,500.00 per month
