Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join our Doha team. This role supports the Financial Controller in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and contributing to effective financial planning and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily accounting and financial operations
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements in Qatar
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Monitor general ledger activities and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal controls and financial policies
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements
- Prepare management reports and financial performance analysis
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
