Job Summary
RICAF is seeking a highly motivated Architectural & Façade Design Engineer to join our growing engineering office in Amman, Jordan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, technical submissions, and design coordination for aluminium, curtain wall, glazing, doors, windows, louvers, pergolas, canopies, and façade systems supporting projects across the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC region.
This position offers the opportunity to work with leading international aluminium systems and contribute to high-profile architectural projects throughout the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed aluminium shop drawings.
- Prepare fabrication and production drawings.
- Design and develop aluminium façade systems.
- Prepare curtain wall, window, door, skylight, louvre, pergola, and canopy details.
- Review architectural and structural drawings.
- Prepare technical submittals and material submissions.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and material calculations.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
- Support project execution teams throughout design and construction phases.
- Maintain engineering documentation and drawing registers.
- Participate in value engineering and system optimization exercises.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in aluminium systems and façade engineering.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience preparing shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Curtain Wall Systems
- Sliding Systems
- Hinged Systems
- Folding Systems
- Aluminium Cladding
- Louvres
- Skylights
- Glazing Systems
- Excellent technical detailing skills.
- Strong English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GCC projects.
- Experience using Revit and BIM.
- Experience with Schüco, Technal, Reynaers, Alumil, Sistem Aluminium, QALEX, or similar systems.
- Understanding of structural calculations for aluminium systems.
- Experience in façade engineering and building envelope design.
