Key Responsibilities
- Perform ARC/MMA welding on structural steel and metal components.
- Read and understand welding and fabrication drawings.
- Select the correct electrodes, welding current, and welding techniques.
- Weld joints according to required specifications and quality standards.
- Perform welding on different steel sections, plates, frames, beams, and structures.
- Inspect welds for cracks, porosity, undercut, and other defects.
- Carry out grinding, cleaning, and basic finishing of welded joints.
- Maintain welding equipment and follow workshop safety procedures.
- Coordinate with fabricators, fitters, and supervisors to complete fabrication work.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an ARC/MMA Welder in steel or metal fabrication.
- Good knowledge of SMAW / Stick Welding.
- Ability to weld different positions and steel thicknesses.
- Ability to read basic fabrication/welding drawings.
- Knowledge of welding safety and proper PPE.
- UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
