Job Description
An Auto Mechanic diagnoses, repairs, and maintains vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. They work with mechanical systems, electrical components, and computerized diagnostics tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles to identify problems using diagnostic equipment
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks)
- Repair or replace faulty parts (engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems)
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality after repairs
- Use computerized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues
- Explain vehicle issues and repair needs to customers
- Keep records of work performed and parts used
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical and technical knowledge
- Problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment
- Basic understanding of computer systems in vehicles
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training in automotive repair (preferred)
- Previous experience as a mechanic is often required
- Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
Pay: Up to AED3,500.00 per hour
