Job Summary
The Aesthetic Medicine Physician is responsible for providing safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered aesthetic medical services. The physician will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, perform approved aesthetic procedures within their scope of practice and privileges, and ensure compliance with DHP/MOPH regulations and the facility’s policies and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical and aesthetic consultations and patient assessments.
- Obtain appropriate medical history, assess patient suitability, and identify contraindications.
- Develop individualized aesthetic treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical assessment.
- Perform aesthetic procedures within the physician’s approved scope of practice and facility privileges.
- Provide appropriate pre-procedure and post-procedure assessment and patient instructions.
- Monitor patients for complications and manage or appropriately refer any adverse events.
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation and informed consent records.
- Ensure appropriate infection prevention and control practices during all procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and performance monitoring as required.
- Work collaboratively with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals when required.
- Provide patients with realistic information regarding expected outcomes, risks, benefits, alternatives, and limitations of treatment.
- Ensure that all procedures are performed using approved equipment, products, and techniques.
- Maintain competency through continuing professional development and relevant training.
- Comply with Rayhan Medical Complex policies, procedures, clinical guidelines, and DHP/MOPH requirements.
Aesthetic Procedures
Depending on the physician’s approved qualifications, scope of practice, and facility privileges, responsibilities may include:
- Botulinum toxin procedures
- Dermal fillers
- Chemical peels
- Microneedling
- Skin rejuvenation procedures
- Laser and light-based aesthetic procedures, where appropriately trained and privileged
- Non-invasive facial and body aesthetic treatments
- Other approved aesthetic procedures within the physician’s authorized scope of practice
Note: The physician may perform only those procedures for which they hold the required qualifications, competency, DHP/MOPH authorization, and institutional privileges.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Valid DHP/MOPH medical license in Qatar.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification, certification, or recognized training in Aesthetic Medicine, Dermatology, or a related field, as applicable.
- Relevant experience in aesthetic medicine and cosmetic procedures.
- Demonstrated competency in the procedures included within the approved scope of practice.
Experience
- Previous experience in aesthetic medicine, dermatology, cosmetic medicine, or a related clinical setting.
- Experience with aesthetic procedures and patient consultation.
- Experience managing potential complications and adverse events related to aesthetic procedures is preferred
Pay: QAR9,426.68 – QAR30,000.00 per month
