Career Opportunity – ACMV / Control Panel Technician
Location: NAFFCO Qatar
We are looking for an experienced ACMV / Control Panel Technician to carry out installation, inspection, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and preventive/corrective maintenance of ACMV systems and associated electrical/control panels.
The technician will ensure that ACMV equipment, control systems, sensors, actuators, starters, VFDs, and related electrical components operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of ACMV/HVAC equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair AHUs, FCUs, ventilation fans, exhaust fans, pumps, and associated equipment.
- Check operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, airflow, current, and voltage.
- Identify mechanical and electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
- Perform routine inspection and servicing according to maintenance schedules.
- Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of ACMV equipment.
- Ensure equipment is operating within manufacturer and project specifications.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ITI / Diploma / Technical Certificate in Electrical, Electronics, HVAC, ACMV, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in ACMV/HVAC maintenance and control panel troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of electrical control circuits and HVAC/ACMV systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, control schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Practical experience with contactors, relays, overloads, VFDs, sensors, actuators, and control panels.
- Basic knowledge of BMS and HVAC control systems is an advantage.
- Ability to use electrical testing instruments such as multimeters and clamp meters.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a maintenance team.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or emergency call-outs when required.
