A British Curriculum School in Dubai is seeking a qualified and experienced Accounting Teacher to teach Pearson Edexcel International GCSE and International A Level Accounting.
The successful candidate should have strong subject knowledge, experience teaching Accounting at secondary and post-16 levels, and the ability to support students in achieving strong academic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Accounting at International GCSE and International A Level (Pearson Edexcel).
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with curriculum and examination requirements.
- Use assessment effectively to monitor student attainment and progress.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal and external examinations.
- Analyse student performance and provide appropriate support and intervention.
- Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour and academic achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental activities and whole-school improvement.
- Maintain accurate assessment and student progress records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a closely related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching the British Curriculum.
- Experience teaching GCSE/International GCSE and A Level/International A Level Accounting.
- Pearson Edexcel teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Accounting and external examination requirements.
- Good classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
- Must meet the requirements for teacher appointment in Dubai private schools and be eligible for KHDA approval.
