For a leading Fit-Out & Construction company specializing in high-end interior design and turnkey projects we are looking for an experienced General Accountant with a strong background in the construction industry who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can join immediately.
Responsibilities –
Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
Manage VAT compliance, tax filings, and ensure adherence to local financial regulations.
Oversee cost control, budgeting, and financial planning specific to fit-out and construction projects.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and cash flow forecasts.
Reconcile project costs and ensure proper allocation of expenses.
Coordinate with procurement and project teams to track expenses and ensure cost efficiency.
Assist in payroll processing, employee benefits, and end-of-service calculations.
Work closely with auditors and ensure audit readiness.
Manage supplier payments, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Ensure all accounting transactions comply with IFRS and company policies.
Qualifications –
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in the construction industry is a MUST.
Strong knowledge of project accounting, WPS, and VAT regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or Oracle ERP).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
