We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our Shipping & Logistics Company.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
– Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
– Experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or related industry is preferred.
– Strong knowledge of VAT, NSSF, payroll, financial reporting, and accounting procedures.
– Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
– Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
– Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
– Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and payment transactions.
– Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly closing activities.
– Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management reports.
– Record and review journal entries and supporting documentation.
– Follow-up on customer collections and supplier payments.
– Review payroll, calculations, deductions, and employee benefits.
– Coordinate VAT, NSSF, tax filings, and audit requirements.
– Assist with budgeting and financial planning
– Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
– Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
– Support external and internal audits.
– Coordinate with banks, auditors, government authorities, and service providers as required.
