Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Supervisor with a strong technical background in machine operations, people management, and strategic planning to oversee daily operations within our recycling facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the recycling industry, ensuring efficient workflow, equipment reliability, and workforce productivity. This role is pivotal in maintaining high safety standards, operational efficiency, and process optimization to meet production targets and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Production Management
Oversee and manage daily plant operations, ensuring optimal performance of all machinery and equipment.
Plan, organize, and coordinate production schedules to meet output targets and quality standards.
Ensure that all operational processes align with safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
2. Technical & Machine Operations
Monitor and ensure the smooth functioning of recycling machinery, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance coordination.
Work closely with maintenance teams to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
Provide technical guidance and hands-on support in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
3. People & Team Management
Supervise and lead a team of machine operators, technicians, and laborers, ensuring clear communication and effective teamwork.
Conduct performance evaluations, training, and mentoring to enhance the skills of team members.
Ensure proper manpower allocation and shift planning to optimize productivity.
Enforce company policies, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
4. Planning & Coordination
Develop and implement operational plans to achieve production goals while maintaining cost efficiency.
Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure a smooth material flow.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and spare parts, ensuring timely replenishment.
5. Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all safety protocols are followed, conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance among employees.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an operation’s supervisory role within a recycling, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Strong technical knowledge of recycling machinery, material processing, and plant equipment.
Proven experience in team leadership, workforce management, and training.
Proficiency in production planning, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make informed decisions.
