Job Description
Provide support and assistance to technicians servicing and repairing all mechanical devices or body elements of the vehicle to return them to the manufacturer’s specifications in observance of operating procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operations: Perform the work requested by foreman, in observance of the manufacturer’s methods recommendations and operating procedures. Assist technicians as needed in special jobs to ensure jobs are done fast. Remain in contact with foreman/technicians during the work to inform him to the check results and of his work and seek help or assistance.
- Tools & Equipments: Assist in workshop housekeeping to ensure old parts and tools are in the right place. Ensure all components at the periphery of the work location are in good working condition and operational to facilitate the technicians.
- Safety: Observe safety rules defined for the equipment, instruments and products. Apply the manufacturer’s directives and the safety rules to avoid any damage to the vehicles or to self. Observe precautionary measures to avoid occupational hazards of repair works.
Job Specific Information
- Workshop Helper will be closely working with foreman and technicians to move flexibly from one job to another as per requirement especially on special jobs which require manpower assistance like transmissions, engines and axles for trucks (big size vehicles).
