WordPress Developer – Digital Growth Jobs in Dubai at Persian Horizon – FZCO

Role Overview

We are looking for a technically versatile WordPress Developer who goes beyond basic web development. This role sits at the intersection of web engineering, AI-assisted content production, and digital marketing execution. You will own the technical layer of Elaris’s digital presence – from high-converting landing pages to booking integrations, CRM connectors, and performance-optimised web assets.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

1. WordPress Development and Site Management

  • Build, maintain, and optimise WordPress websites across all four Elaris branches
  • Manage themes, plugins, page builders (Elementor / Divi), and custom templates
  • Ensure site speed, Core Web Vitals scores, and mobile responsiveness are consistently high
  • Handle staging environments, backups, and version control (Git)
  • Maintain uptime, security hardening, SSL, and server-side configurations

2. Landing Page Development

  • Design and build high-converting campaign landing pages for services including bridal, hair, nails, and seasonal promotions
  • Translate marketing briefs into fully coded HTML/CSS pages with pixel-perfect execution
  • A/B test landing page layouts in coordination with the marketing team
  • Integrate UTM tracking, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, and conversion events on all pages

3. AI-Assisted Development and Content Production

  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to accelerate HTML, CSS, and PHP code generation
  • Generate and optimise AI images using tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or DALL-E for landing pages, banners, and promotional assets
  • Stay current with AI tooling that can reduce production time and improve output quality
  • Ability to prompt-engineer effectively for both code and visual generation tasks

4. PHP Development and Custom Functionality

  • Write and maintain custom PHP scripts for WordPress functionality
  • Build or customise plugins for booking systems (Amelia, Fresha), forms, and data handling
  • Debug server-side issues, resolve conflicts between plugins, and optimise database queries
  • Handle .htaccess, cPanel/WHM configurations, and server error resolution

5. API Integration and Third-Party Connectivity

  • Integrate and maintain APIs including Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, WhatsApp Business, CRM platforms, and booking tools
  • Connect marketing and operational platforms using Zapier, Make (Integromat), or direct REST/Webhook implementations
  • Support the WhatsApp AI booking agent (Layla) with any web-layer integrations via respond.io
  • Maintain data flow integrity between WordPress, CRM, and reporting dashboards

6. UI/UX Design and Visual Execution

  • Apply UI/UX principles to all web assets – wireframing, layout hierarchy, typography, and colour consistency aligned with the Elaris brand
  • Use tools such as Figma or Adobe XD to prototype pages before development
  • Ensure all designs meet luxury brand standards appropriate for a premium salon audience in Dubai
  • Maintain visual consistency across desktop and mobile touchpoints

7. SEO Technical Foundation

  • Implement on-page and technical SEO including schema markup, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt
  • Optimise images, lazy loading, and caching configurations for performance
  • Support the marketing team with landing page SEO alignment for paid and organic campaigns

8. Performance Tracking and Analytics Setup

  • Set up and maintain GTM containers, GA4 properties, and conversion tracking across all pages
  • Configure Meta Pixel events, Google Ads conversion tags, and custom event triggers
  • Provide technical support for attribution and campaign performance reporting

9. Email and CRM Technical Support

  • Build and maintain HTML email templates for WhatsApp blast campaigns and CRM communications
  • Support integrations between WordPress and email/CRM platforms (HubSpot, Brevo, Mailchimp, etc.)
  • Assist with lead capture forms, webhook routing, and data pipeline configuration

10. Collaboration and Turnaround

  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing to execute campaign assets under tight deadlines
  • Independently manage task queues across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Document all builds, integrations, and configurations for internal knowledge management

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on WordPress development experience
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Demonstrated experience with API integrations (REST, Webhooks, OAuth)
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for code generation and image creation
  • Solid UI/UX design sense with portfolio evidence
  • Familiarity with GTM, GA4, Meta Pixel, and conversion tracking
  • Experience with booking or appointment systems is a strong advantage
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced marketing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a beauty, wellness, hospitality, or luxury retail brand
  • Knowledge of Arabic language (an advantage, not a requirement)
  • Familiarity with respond.io, Fresha, Amelia, or similar platforms
  • Experience working with performance marketing teams
