During inspection, the wooden doors were found to be misaligned, causing difficulty in opening and closing, with minor gaps and improper fitting also observed. The root cause has been identified as hinge loosening and natural wear and tear of the wooden frame resulting from regular and continuous usage over time.
Scope
of Work
- Inspection of all wooden doors, frames and hinges across all floors to identify the extent of misalignment and any associated damage.
- Removal of doors where necessary to carry out proper alignment and repair works.
- Realignment of all affected doors to ensure correct and secure positioning within their respective frames.
- Tightening of existing hinges and replacement of any damaged or worn out hinges with new ones where required.
- Adjustment of all door fittings including screws and supports to restore stability and proper fitting.
- Planing or trimming of door edges where required to eliminate rubbing, sticking or visible gaps.
- Lubrication of all hinges and moving parts to ensure smooth and consistent operation.
- Reinstallation of all removed doors and verification of proper opening and closing function.
- Final inspection across all floors to confirm that alignment, functionality and finish meet the required standard.
