Job Description
The Well Testing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the testing and evaluation of oil or gas wells to determine their productivity and reservoir characteristics. They coordinate well testing operations, manage the testing crew, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and testing protocols. The Well Testing Supervisor plays a critical role in obtaining accurate data to optimize well performance and maximize production efficiency.
Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and supervise well testing operations, including flowback testing, pressure testing, and sampling. Manage and lead the well testing crew, ensuring
effective communication
, coordination, and
teamwork
. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, performing regular safety inspections and promoting a safety-first culture. Operate and maintain well testing equipment, including separators, flow meters, and pressure control devices. Monitor and analyze well test data, including pressure, temperature, flow rates, and fluid properties.
Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geologists to interpret well test results and evaluate reservoir performance. Make recommendations for well
optimization
and production enhancement based on well test data and reservoir characteristics. Prepare and present reports summarizing well test results, interpretations, and recommendations. Manage inventory and procurement of necessary well testing equipment, materials, and supplies. Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and regulations related to well testing operations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Well Testing Supervisor or similar role, with
hands-on experience
in well testing operations. Strong knowledge of well testing techniques, equipment, and industry safety standards. Excellent
