Well Integrity Engineering Specialist
Job
Purpose
• Provide technical support and guidance on Well Integrity Management System (WIMS), driving current processes, leading improvement initiatives, managing multifunctional teams, and collaborating with functions and stakeholders to develop and implement well integrity solutions.
Key Job Accountabilities – I
Ensure compliance with QG SHE policies and procedures (SHE Manual).
Manage well integrity, analyze related issues, perform risk assessments and root cause analysis, and recommend remedial and preventative actions to mitigate risk.
Ensure well barrier Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) in accordance with the Well Integrity Management System; review ITM results to ensure barrier reliability.
Monitor annulus pressure, determine well operating envelope, MAASP, and MAWOP.
Develop downhole corrosion monitoring requirements, monitor surface and downhole corrosion, and ensure effective monitoring strategies.
Key Job Accountabilities – II
Review and update the Well Integrity Management System to ensure compliance with company requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
Develop well integrity processes and procedures, ensure their implementation, and review related operational programs.
Provide technical support during design and construction of well barriers throughout the well lifecycle; advise during planning and startup phases to incorporate best practices.
Develop requirements for well suspension and abandonment, providing technical support during execution, ensuring alignment with industry standards and guidelines.
Assess risks in controls and work methods, understanding Safety Case Elements, Safety Critical Elements, Safeguards, and systems to meet industry and best practice standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience – I
At least 8 years of relevant experience including well integrity, suspension, abandonment, well completions, workover, and rigless operations; offshore experience is advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years working with multidisciplinary teams.
Extensive experience with well integrity management, including knowledge of Well Integrity Management System, well barriers, wellheads, trees, maintenance, downhole and surface corrosion monitoring, and annulus pressure management.
