Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual hardfacing using oxy-acetylene, TIG, and brazing processes on new and worn parts
- Apply tungsten carbide-based hardfacing materials according to WPS,procedures and drawings.
- Prepare surfaces (cleaning, preheating, grinding) before and after hardfacing.
- Control deposit quality (thickness, hardness, appearance, absence of defects)
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean, safe work area
- Collaborate with quality and production teams to meet customer specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in manual hardfacing / overlay welding
- Strong skills in TIG welding and brazing
- Knowledge of hardfacing techniques with tungsten carbide or similar wear-resistant materials is a strong advantage
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to work in a production environment with PPE
- Fluent in English and able to communicate professionally in both writing and speaking.
