Welder Fabricator Jobs in Dubai at Rona Elevators & Escalators
Key Responsibilities
- interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Measure, mark, cut, grind, and prepare steel materials for fabrication.
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, ARC (SMAW), and other approved welding processes as required.
- Fabricate structural steel components, frames, platforms, brackets, supports, staircases, handrails, and other steel assemblies.
- Assemble fabricated parts using welding, bolting, and fastening techniques.
- Ensure fabricated products meet project specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as cutting machines, grinders, drills, bending machines, and welding machines.
- Conduct visual inspection of welds and fabricated assemblies before submission for quality inspection.
- Repair defective welds and carry out rework when required.
- Assist in material handling, loading, unloading, and movement of fabricated steel components.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and quality inspectors to complete work within project schedules.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in good working condition.
- Follow production schedules while maintaining high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
- Support installation activities at project sites when required.
- Perform any other fabrication or welding duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school education or ITI/Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade.
- Minimum 1-3years of experience in steel fabrication, structural steel manufacturing, or industrial project work.
- Valid welding certification is preferred.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication, heavy steel works, or construction projects is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of fabrication tools, measuring instruments, and welding equipment.
- Good understanding of welding symbols and fabrication standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and time management skills.
- Physically fit to perform manual work and lift heavy materials.
Working Conditions
- Work in manufacturing workshops, fabrication facilities, and project sites.
- Exposure to heat, sparks, noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
- May require overtime, shift work, weekend work, and travel to project sites based on operational requirements.
- Standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
Safety Responsibilities
- Comply with all company Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
- Wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, safety shoes, goggles, protective clothing, and hearing protection.
- Ensure safe handling of welding equipment, compressed gas cylinders, and power tools.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment defects, accidents, or near misses immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent workplace hazards.
Pay: From AED2,000.00 per month
