We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Machine Tools Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electrical tools and equipment like Detailing, Polishing and Sanding Machines. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tool Repair and Maintenance:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical tools and equipment.
Perform regular maintenance to ensure tools are in optimal working condition.
Replace or repair worn or defective parts such as brushes, motors, switches, and cords.
2. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve functional issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Utilize electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues with power tools and electrical components.
Provide recommendations for repairs or replacements based on diagnosis.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on each tool.
Provide detailed reports on repair work, including parts used, labor hours, and tool status.
Communicate with supervisors regarding recurring issues and potential improvements.
4. Quality Control and Testing:
Test tools after repairs to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
Calibrate tools as required to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
5. Inventory Management:
Track and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
Ensure that necessary tools and materials are available for repairs.
Order new parts and tools as required, in coordination with purchasing teams.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
Proven experience as an Electrical Tool Technician or similar role.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
