Position Overview: The Category Buyer for Built-in Appliances is responsible for managing the procurement and merchandising of built-in appliance products. This role involves strategic planning, supplier negotiation, inventory management, and sales analysis to ensure a competitive and profitable product assortment.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Selection and Assortment Planning:
Develop and manage a comprehensive range of built-in appliance products that meet market demand and align with company objectives.
Collaborate with suppliers to source new and innovative products.
Supplier Management and Negotiation:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to achieve favorable conditions for the company.
Inventory and Sales Management:
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Develop and implement category strategies to enhance market share and profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to coordinate promotions, product launches, and demand forecasting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a buyer or category manager, preferably in the home appliances sector.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Proficiency in inventory management and sales analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
