Waitress/Service Crew Jobs in Dubai, UAE at Grand Excelsior Hotel Al Barsha
Position Purpose
To assist in the service of a quality food & beverage product to customers, develop food & beverage products and services, answer guest requests, and resolve guest problems.
Supportive Functions:
Daily data collection and reporting of issues as they arise.
Completion of Progress Training and participation in Progress related activities.
Support of Departmental objectives.
Assist in reduction of service recovery costs.
Attend minimum 1 appraisal per year.
Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum.
Participation in Departmental meetings and feedback meetings.
Self-Management
Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook.
Comply with timekeeping and attendance policies.
Actively participate intraining and developmentprograms and maximize opportunities for self-development.
General
Comply with the company corporate code of conduct at all times.
Familiarize yourself with the company vision and values which link to our model of desired behaviors that we expect all employees to display.
Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
Have the desire and ability to improve your knowledge and abilities through ongoing training.

Health Safety & Security
Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety at the hotel.
Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures at the hotel.
Ensure all security incidents, accidents, and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Department Head as per Fire Life & Safety (FLS) procedures.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrate proper and safe usage of all equipment.
Support and adhere to the equal opportunities policy of the company.
Care in service to avoid accidents.
Ensure cash/credit card security.
Security in keys/micros.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education:
Minimum High School or equivalenteducationrequired.
Experience:
Holder of a basic food & hygiene certificate.
Aware of all Health, Safety and Fire regulations and to abide by their terms.
Minimum 02 years experience in the Hotel Industry.
