Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Waiter/Waitress position based at DUZO Restaurant in Sharjah. The role includes:
- Greeting guests and presenting menus
- Taking orders accurately and serving food and beverages promptly.
- Setting up tables and maintaining a clean, organized dining area.
- Coordinating closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Handling payments and responding to guest inquiries.
- Following DUZO’s hygiene, safety, and service standards.
- Supporting the team to deliver efficient, friendly, and professional service.
- A strong sales-oriented mindset is important, as the role includes recommending dishes, promoting combos, and enhancing guest satisfaction through confident upselling.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Knowledge of food & beverage service practices and basic menu familiarity.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and coordinating with the team
- Basic cooking awareness is beneficial for understanding menu items.
- Previous experience in restaurants, cafés, or hospitality is an advantage.
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays safely.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic speakers are preferred.
- Strong teamwork, initiative, and a high sense of responsibility.
