Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Waiter cum Cashier to join our takeaway pizza shop. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, accurately handle cashiering duties, and assist with front-of-house operations to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Take customer orders accurately for dine-in, takeaway, and phone orders.
- Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and digital payments.
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Recommend menu items and upsell when appropriate.
- Serve food and beverages promptly to customers.
- Pack takeaway orders carefully and ensure order accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier counter, dining area, and front-of-house.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve basic complaints courteously.
- Balance the cash drawer and complete end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely order preparation.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and company policies at all times.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a waiter, cashier, or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Experience using POS systems is an advantage.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Friendly, presentable, and customer-oriented.
- Basic mathematical and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
