We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Engineer/Document Controller to oversee all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) aspects and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role also involves managing documentation for audits, permits, and safety reports while coordinating with relevant authorities and project teams to maintain a safe working environment.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Responsibilities:
Handle all HSE aspects related to Intertek Audits, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct pre-installation inspections at Dubai Duty Free (DDF) and coordinate modifications as per Design Authority (DA) comments.
Assess risks and prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA) for DDF projects and mall promotions.
Develop and implement Job Safety Analysis (JSA) based on the project scope of work.
Ensure HSE compliance at project sites by conducting regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
Develop and enforce Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
Provide HSE training, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for employees and contractors.
Liaise with Mall HSE departments and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Advise teams on safety measures related to noise levels, machinery operation, and workplace hazards.
Document Control & Permitting Responsibilities:
Apply for passes and permits for Dubai and Sharjah Duty Free projects.
Manage Safety Statistic Reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
Prepare and submit project-related documentation in compliance with mall management requirements.
Apply for police permits and other regulatory approvals as required.
Maintain an organized document control system for all safety-related records and project approvals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Certified in HSE standards (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
Experience in risk assessments, audits, and safety compliance.
Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and permit procedures.
Proficiency in document management systems and report preparation.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
