A leading sports academy in Dubai is looking for an experienced Basketball Coach to join our dynamic team. The role involves planning and providing coaching sessions in alignment with our academy’s syllabus, leading teams in various age categories, and ensuring students’ skill development and overall growth. The coach will be responsible for preparing teams for competitions and fostering a positive, motivating environment for players of all skill levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaching & Training:
Plan and deliver basketball training sessions based on the academy’s syllabus, focusing on skill development, fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Tailor coaching methods to different age categories, skill levels, and specific needs of players.
Foster player development in both individual skills (shooting, passing, defense, etc.) and team tactics (offensive and defensive strategies).
Implement and monitor personalized progress plans for each player
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage various basketball teams during training, matches, and competitions.
Organize and coordinate team practices, ensuring that training goals are being met.
Prepare teams for scheduled games, ensuring they are mentally and physically ready to perform.
Supervise players during matches and ensure sportsmanship is upheld.
Match & Game Management:
Conduct post-match reviews, providing constructive feedback to players.
Coordinate with other coaches and academy staff to ensure smooth running of events and tournaments.
Mentorship & Motivation:
Serve as a mentor and role model for players, instilling discipline, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Encourage players’ growth and confidence both on and off the court.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment where players can thrive and enjoy the sport.
Administrative & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of player progress, attendance, and match results.
Report on team performance and individual development to academy management and parents as required.
Stay up to date with basketball trends, techniques, and coaching methodologies to ensure the best training practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience as a Basketball Coach, with a minimum of 2-3 years of coaching experience at a competitive level.
In-depth knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and training techniques.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work with players of all ages and skill levels.
A strong passion for basketball and youth development.
Relevant coaching certification (e.g., FIBA or similar certification) is a plus.
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other coaches and staff.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fresher
Pay: AED2,000.00 – AED3,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
