Job Summary

The Waiter is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to Client employees and guests while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, hygiene, and food safety. The role includes preparing dining areas, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with Client, company, and HACCP standards.

Key Responsibilities

Food & Beverage Service

  • Welcome guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Serve meals and beverages efficiently and politely.
  • Ensure buffet stations remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Refill food items, beverages, condiments, and utensils as required.
  • Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items and ingredients.
  • Monitor food presentation and promptly report shortages.

Dining Area Management

  • Prepare the dining area before each meal service.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, cutlery, napkins, and condiments.
  • Clear tables promptly after guests finish their meals.
  • Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and service areas.
  • Maintain an orderly and welcoming dining environment.

Hygiene & Food Safety

  • Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times.
  • Practice proper hand hygiene and wear the required PPE.
  • Ensure food is served at the correct temperature.
  • Prevent cross-contamination during food handling and service.
  • Report any food quality or hygiene concerns immediately.

Customer Service

  • Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Address guest concerns politely and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance throughout each shift.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Comply with HSE rules and company policies.
  • Attend all required safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Follow emergency response and evacuation procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately.
  • Use equipment safely and maintain a hazard-free work area.

Cleaning Responsibilities

  • Clean dining halls before, during, and after meal periods.
  • Wash and sanitize service equipment and utensils as assigned.
  • Dispose of waste according to company and environmental procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of service stations and storage areas.

Inventory Support

  • Monitor stock levels of service items.
  • Report shortages of disposable items, condiments, and beverages.
  • Assist in receiving and storing supplies when required.

Teamwork

  • Support kitchen and catering staff during peak service periods.
  • Assist with special events and VIP meal services.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Certificate in Food & Beverage Service is an advantage.
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate (mandatory).
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • 20 to 30 Years of age
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a waiter.
  • Must be in Qatar.

  • Good communication in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Professional appearance and grooming.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic understanding of food allergens and dietary requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays and service equipment (up to 15 kg).
  • Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physically fit to work in industrial camp environments.

HSE & Compliance Requirements

  • Comply with all Client site regulations and permit requirements.
  • Follow HACCP, ISO, and company food safety procedures.
  • Wear the prescribed PPE while on duty.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and sanitation.
  • Participate in mandatory safety and food safety training.
