Job Description
Job Holder’s main responsibility but not LIMITED to:
Communicate with ships and agents as required to manage the traffic of ships.
Assist on planning traffic within the limit of operation.
Liaise with customers, pilot and assets.
Receive and act in case of emergency calls.
Maintain a logbook for all VTS activities.
Coordinate with Operations for berth allocation, daily shipping movements, and repair ship berthing to ensure seamless operations.
Coordinate with pilots and marine assets to ensure no operation delays.
Manage all updates and upgrades of the VTS equipment and charts.
Oversee VTS and Port Control operations.
Improve quality and efficiency of customer services.
Work on shift basis to ensure the VTS room 24/7 operational.
