VSAT L1 Engineer (Service Assurance) Jobs in Doha at Mindstream
Join Mind Stream as a VSAT L1 Engineer in our Service Assurance division. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining network integrity, monitoring satellite terminal health, and ensuring rapid incident resolution within a 24×7 operational environment.
Responsibilities:
– Monitor VSAT network alarms for terminal down, link degradation, and equipment alerts.
– Classify incidents by priority and log detailed tickets in ServiceNow or Remedy.
– Perform basic diagnostic checks including SNR levels, BER, and hardware health.
– Triage root causes as site-related, network/hub issues, or environmental weather fade.
– Escalate critical or unresolved incidents to L2, field engineers, or hub teams.
– Maintain detailed shift handover logs and site-level issue documentation.
Requirements:
– Knowledge of VSAT architecture and basic IP routing.
– Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
– Ability to analyze SNR, BER, and troubleshoot link quality issues.
– Strong communication and coordination skills for stakeholder updates.
– Ability to work a 24×7 shift schedule.
