Role Description:
As an MEP Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial, residential, or industrial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Installation and Maintenance:
§ Install and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and heating equipment.
§ Install and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution panels.
§ Install and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and sanitary fixtures.
§ Perform preventive maintenance on all MEP systems to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
2.Troubleshooting and Repair:
§ Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
§ Respond to emergency calls for MEP system failures and ensure quick and effective resolution.
§ Test and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functionality.
3.Safety and Compliance:
§ Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
§ Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following established safety protocols.
§ Keep up-to-date with changes in building codes and safety regulations related to MEP systems.
4.Documentation and Reporting:
§ Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
§ Prepare and submit reports on the condition of MEP systems and any issues encountered.
§ Coordinate with other departments and contractors as needed for larger projects or complex repairs.
5.Inventory and Tools Management:
§ Manage and maintain an inventory of necessary tools and parts for MEP work.
§ Order and replenish supplies as needed to ensure availability for ongoing and future projects.
Qualifications:
1. Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing or a related field.
2. A Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as an MEP Technician or in a similar role.
3. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
