Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant specializing in VAT filing and tax returns. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in VAT regulations, tax return preparation, and filing, with a solid understanding of local tax laws and compliance requirements. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our company remains compliant with VAT and tax laws, managing the preparation and submission of tax returns, and providing strategic advice on tax planning.
Key Responsibilities:
VAT Filing & Compliance:
Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
Ensure VAT compliance with current legislation and tax regulations.
Review and reconcile VAT records to ensure correct VAT treatment.
Advise on VAT exemptions, rates, and proper categorization of transactions.
Handle VAT audits and liaise with tax authorities when required.
Tax Returns:
Prepare and file annual income tax returns, ensuring full compliance with relevant tax laws.
Manage the preparation of corporate tax returns, ensuring accurate deductions, credits, and allowances.
Advise on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, focusing on tax and VAT-related items.
Analyze financial transactions to ensure proper VAT and tax treatment.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting of VAT and tax information.
Consultation & Advice:
Provide internal stakeholders with advice on VAT matters, tax implications of business decisions, and tax planning.
Respond to inquiries from the tax authorities and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
Keep up to date with changes in VAT and tax laws and regulations.
Record Keeping:
Maintain up-to-date and accurate tax files and records for audit purposes.
Manage tax-related documentation and ensure records are kept in accordance with legal requirements.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience in VAT filing, tax return preparation, and tax compliance.
Strong understanding of VAT laws and tax regulations (local and international, if applicable).
Experience working with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and tax filing tools.
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 1 month
Pay: AED1,234.00 – AED1,235.00 per month
