Company Description COSL Drilling Pan Pacific Limited is the international jack-up division of COSL China, operating a fleet of eight high-specification jack-up drilling rigs. Role Description The Owner role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bangkok City, Thailand, with responsibility for overall leadership, governance, and strategic direction of COSL Drilling Pan Pacific Limited’s jack-up operations. Day-to-day activities include setting business objectives, overseeing financial performance, approving major investments, and ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and HSE standards. The Owner provides guidance to senior management, participates in key customer and stakeholder engagements, and supports long-term planning for fleet utilization and asset development. The role involves reviewing operational reports, monitoring risk management initiatives, and making decisions on resource allocation and organizational priorities. The Owner also fosters a culture of integrity, safety, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in offshore drilling, oilfield services, energy, or related heavy-industry sectors, with responsibility for P&L and strategic decision-making.
- Strong background in corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance, ideally within international operations.
- Experience managing large capital assets or fleets (e.g., drilling rigs, marine vessels), including lifecycle planning and investment decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, regulators, and internal stakeholders at executive level.
- Skilled in financial analysis, budgeting, and business planning to support sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to lead diverse, multicultural teams.
- Familiarity with offshore safety standards, HSE best practices, and risk mitigation in complex operational environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- International work experience and strong cross-cultural awareness; fluency in English is required, additional languages are beneficial.
