About the Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced Vice President of Governance and Compliance to lead our compliance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are met.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead risk management and control practices within the organization.
Advising on legal and regulatory risks associated with new products and services.
Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of current compliance laws and regulations relevant to the Group’s operations.
Documentation of results of compliance advisory efforts and serving as a primary resource on compliance issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree with professional qualifications such as CAMS/CCO/CIA.
10 years’ experience in a major banking institution or consultancy firm, out of which 8 years should ideally be in Compliance and/or Corporate Governance.
Deep knowledge of banking policies/procedures, regulatory and best practice pronouncements pertaining to compliance and Governance.
Good understanding of QNB Group regulators including but not limited to QCB, QFMA, QFC, FSA, MIFID, MAS and Banque de France, Federal Swiss Banking Commission regulations.
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and Arabic.
