To lead the transformation of domestic and international remittance services by creating a future‑ready, digital‑first Customer Value Proposition (CVP). The role focuses on speed, coverage, pricing innovation, and customer experience, leveraging technology and partnerships to deliver a differentiated offering in a competitive market.

Functional Responsibilities Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute a long‑term roadmap for remittance services aligned with the bank’s digital strategy.
  • Own P&L for remittance products, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Develop digital‑first propositions including real‑time FX, wallet integrations, and subscription models.
  • Explore emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI‑driven personalization, stablecoin and crypto corridors.

Customer Experience

  • Design frictionless journeys with instant transfers, transparent pricing, and superior UX.
  • Implement data‑driven personalization for acquisition and retention.

Partnerships & Ecosystem

  • Forge alliances with fintechs, super‑apps, and global payout partners.
  • Benchmark against market leaders (Wise, Revolut, Western Union, Botim, DU, Careem).

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure adherence to AML/KYC, cross‑border regulations, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Monitor competitive threats and global trends; proactively adjust strategy.

    Drive remittance volume and fee income through strategic initiatives and partnerships

    Maintain 100% adherence to regulatory and internal policy requirements.

    Achieve cost‑effective processing and minimize transaction errors or delays.

    Proactively identify and address risks related to remittance operations.
  • Reporting & Governance
    :
    Deliver timely and accurate reports to management and regulators.
  • Operational Disruptions

    Resolving delays or failures in remittance processing due to system outages, network issues, or third‑party failures.
  • Regulatory Challenges
    :
    Interpreting and implementing new UAE Central Bank regulations or international compliance standards.
  • Customer Complaints
    :
    Addressing escalated issues related to failed or delayed transactions, fraud, or service dissatisfaction.
  • Process Inefficiencies
    :
    Identifying bottlenecks in transaction flows and implementing automation or redesigns.
  • Partner Coordination
    :
    Managing conflicts or misalignments with correspondent banks, exchange houses, or fintech partners.
  • Manages high‑volume, time‑sensitive transactions across multiple channels (SWIFT, UAEFTS, mobile, branch).
  • Oversees integration with diverse systems and partners, requiring strong technical and process understanding.
  • Navigates evolving AML/CFT regulations, sanctions screening, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures alignment with both local (UAE Central Bank) and international standards (FATF, SWIFT guidelines).
  • Aligns remittance strategy with broader business goals, digital transformation initiatives, and market dynamics.
  • Anticipates future trends (e.g., blockchain, real‑time payments) and prepares the bank to adapt.

  • Digital product development (mobile apps, APIs, wallets).
  • Understanding of blockchain, AI, and regulatory tech.

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience

  • 10+ years in remittance, payments, or fintech.
  • Proven track record in digital product ownership and remittance platform management.
  • Exposure to global corridors and regulatory frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Technology; MBA preferred.
