Job Description
Play a key role to oversee Ports Cluster current and new business opportunities and expand relationships to attract new customers and revenue lines.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to identify business development opportunities/solutions for Ports Cluster, create strategies for key topics and clients and improve the commercial performance and results across AD Ports Group businesses.
- Liaise with Business Development Strategy team to translate and reflect the latest trends and market insights into implications on commercial strategy.
- Oversee the customer journey, ensuring a streamlined experience dealing with all investors, partners or service providers in Ports Cluster.
- Provide advise regarding commercial agreement negotiations related to business opportunities aiming to attract the maximum clients.
- Direct and translate business & budgets targets into tangible plans and action items.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with various decision makers while expanding relationship with both existing and potential customers and partners.
- Drive commercial excellence through standardization of processes and adoption of best practices and systems (including CRM)
- Monitor customer insights for continuous improvement of the organization’s processes / procedures.
- Prepare and deliver reports representing the commercial performance to AD Ports Group shareholders and other relevant parties.
- People Management Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day management of the Business Development opportunities across all Abu Dhabi Ports business units.
- Manage, coach and develop direct or indirect (dotted line) reports.
- Work together with Human Resources on recruitment and organizational restructuring efforts as required.
- Identify skill gaps and training requirements for the teams to ensure consistent high performance.
- Strategic Responsibilities:
- Responsible for budget preparations/monitoring and for establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for on-going development through our portfolio of ports.
- Assist in analyzing Ports volume performance and provide detailed market feedback of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks.
- Translate sales strategy into business targets and tangible customer level plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Sales, Commercial, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
